Development version 0.2.2-dev · classic ESP32

The installer reports only the transfer status confirmed by ESP Web Tools. A successful installation is not a hardware function test.

Before you start

  1. 1
    Prepare the board

Use a classic ESP32 DevKit V1 and a USB data cable. Disconnect external circuits during the first installation if you are unsure.

  2. 2
    Select the port

Choose the serial port that belongs to your ESP32. Do not select a Bluetooth port or another device's debug port.

  3. 3
    Start with a clean install

Erasing the device is recommended for the first installation. This replaces any firmware currently stored on that board.

  4. 4
    Wait for completion

Do not disconnect USB until the installer reports completion. The serial boot and hardware checks are separate acceptance tests.
